Don and George - We've been together since 1995, and are calm and friendly guys in our 60s. We've been hanging out here in Skagit County since 2005. George is a car guy and Don is a comic book collector. We love living in Skagit Valley! Great people here, lots of fun things to do, and places to see. We live on about 3 acres in farmland, and spend most of our time in the yard or hanging out in our greenhouse bar when weather permits. We love being nude when we can around the property, and invite guests to if they like (we won't if guests are not comfortable, of course!) We occasionally work in real estate here in the Valley and we love what we do!

We offer a clothing-optional stay. Our cabin is private and secluded. Private secure parking and cabin entry – you can come and go as you like. Sometimes we mow the 3 acres of lawns, do some gardening, or feed the chickens. Bird watchers paradise. Snow geese, swans and Bald Eagles migrate through here in the winter. (You might hear migratory bird hunters in the distance on a winter morning.) There is a high water-table around the property in winter – sometimes lawns can get soggy in places. Skagit Valley is located near Island County, home of the Whidbey Island Navy Airbase and sometimes the jets can make noise. Never on weekends and never late at night. No unauthorized guests. No pets of any kind – sorry. No smoking or open flames/candles in the cabin.

This is still a great place! I've been unable to visit for the past couple years but when stayed there again over the weekend I was reminded of how peaceful Don and George's place is. It is an incredible retreat from the city: very clean and comfortable, with super gracious hosts! I look forward to returning soon, to sit out on the deck, listen to the birds, all while staring at the snow-covered mountains across the Skagit Valley. Peaceful bliss.

Highly recommend! My husband and I enjoyed the attention to detail and coziness of the cabin. Don made us feel welcome and like we could ask for anything we needed.... but he had thought of everything in advance! The cabin was well-stocked and thoughtfully prepared. Super quiet and serene surroundings. Would love to come back in the summer!

Don and George's cabin is a nature lovers retreat any time of the year! The flowers, birds, bunnies and incredible surroundings (trees, farmland, river, mountains, blue skies) make this truly an escape from the buzz of city life. I can't wait to return.

Don and George have a beautiful property just outside of Mt. Vernon and La Conner. Everything about the cabin was perfect: location, interior decor, lush property, and cleanliness. What's more, their communication was great - Don even left an extra large ironing board in the hall closet ahead of time so that I could attend a formal event in town. Exemplary customer service. Cannot recommend their Skagit Valley Cabin enough.

I had another great stay at Don and George's! Super clean and incredibly peaceful with kind and resourceful hosts. I look forward, as always, to the next time I can break away from Seattle for another getaway at their cabin.

Don and George are incredible, friendly, and professional hosts. They put lots of care into their property and it shows. This is my fourth stay here and I continue to be impressed with how consistently clean, quiet, private and beautiful their place is. I stayed here for another virtual yoga retreat thus an internet connection was critical, and even while feeling relatively remote there were no technical glitches - remote but connected. Thank you again, guys!

My partner and I came here for a quiet retreat for a weekend and it exceeded our expectations. This space is just large enough to be comfortable but small enough to be cozy and has an impressive amount of windows - perfect for the expansive views from the property. The kitchen was stocked with a more-than-complete array of utensils for cooking anything, and there was an unexpected amount of snacks and food available for our use. It was extremely clean when we arrived and check-in was super simple. Don and George were very sweet and around when we needed something but otherwise gave us a ton of privacy. This is a perfect spot whether using it as an exploration base in nice weather or to hole up in for a cozy retreat in cold/wet weather. We felt very safe and well taken care of here. It was nice to find a MisterB&B listing outside of an urban area.

This was my second stay and it was another great and peaceful retreat. The flowers were all blooming and the whole experience was divine. Don and George are incredibly friendly and helpful, too. I can't wait to return!

What a place! I rented the cabin as a place to do a virtual yoga retreat which required the basics of a place to stay (bathroom, bed, etc.) as well as perfect wifi and relative solitude. Every one of my expectations was exceeded. Don and George's place was spotless, had a great working kitchen (with detail on how they cleaned everything between guests), a very nice bathroom (with all white towels, linens and bathrobes - always a plus), an incredibly comfortable bed (including a heated blanket), nice hardwood floors, and a view of Mt. Baker/farmland/sunsets which were unparalleled. Their retreat had all the perks of being remote will all those of being close, including the fact that they were onsite in their own separate house ready and willing to answer any questions I had during my stay. Especially in this age of COVID, I am incredibly grateful to Don and George for living up to and beyond their description of the property and how they manage it. I can't wait to return.
