Private room in art collector’s home

Rein and Simon welcomed me with warm hospitality—and their pups, Flip and Klaartje, were just as charming. The cozy spot on Beethovenstraat made it super easy to zip to Station Zuid (to/from AMS) and hop on trams to explore the city. I was in town to wander and work, and I explored Amsterdam end to end—Bos, VUmc, West, Oud-West, Westerpark, NDSM, Noord, Weesperzijde, De Pijp, Centrum. My daily routine became coffeecompany (across the street) and Albert Heijn (around the corner). This was my first time to Amsterdam in November, so coming home to a warm, private room (with the comfiest antique sleigh bed!) and bathroom was perfect. Rein and Simon are globe-trotters with great stories—can't wait to visit again and swap more adventures.

Rein and Simon were both very welcoming, and warm and lovely hosts. Their home is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and very inviting and comfortable. They provided me with excellent dinner restaurant recommendations all within walking distance. I would definitely stay with them again. Thank you both, Rein and Simon.

They were excellent hosts with great personal communication and ******** support. The apartment is beautiful and located in a residential neighborhood with a small shopping center in the area. Access to Amsterdam's tourist attractions is very easy by tram. The bedroom and bathroom have everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Very beautiful home, Rein and Simon are very civil, helpful, and loving hosts. They're both really accommodating and you feel like you have a slave of your own in their home which is important to me. Everything is super clean and the location is quiet and chill and away from all the commotion of central amsterdam which is great. Would definitely recommend

Rein and Simon are great hosts and dealt with some issues regarding arrival and departure in both a helpful and considerate way - of course with great assistance from their adorable dogs, one of whom supervised our packing (maybe to check if we has borrowed a painting perhaps !) and checked if there was room to sneak into a suitcase as we were about to leave after two nights.

Rein and Simon's house is a beautiful and cozy place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. You feel very independent at the house while at the same time when both Rein and Simon are in the house they are always up for a tea with you and nice conversation! The house is located at a residential local area of Amsterdam only 10-15 minutes walk from the downtown buzz. A pleasure staying with them!

Highly recommended place to stay in Amsterdam, with superb hosts! Located close to tram stops connecting to the Dam and Central Station. Excellent range of shops and places to eat nearby. Very comfortable Sleigh Bed in an elegant room.
