Located in Port Camargue, Europe's largest yachting port, on the seafront between beaches and southern terroir, and 8 km from the medieval town of Aigues-mortes (which rises out of an astonishing landscape, an absolutely flat plain of brackish lagoons and salt marshes), our house offers a loft in the basement for two people, with fully-equipped kitchen, walk-in shower, wifi and reversible air-conditioning. This independent space opens onto a park. An outdoor swimming pool heated from April to September and a spa are at your disposal. The house is located in the immediate vicinity of a shopping center, a few steps from Lake Salonika and the port, and a 5-minute bike ride from the magnificent southern beaches. Naturism authorized for enthusiasts. Non-smoking area throughout. No children allowed. The villa is 27 km from Montpellier-Méditerranée airport and Montpellier Sud de France TGV station, Zenith and Arena, 5 minutes from Aigues Mortes and the Camargue beaches, including the famous Espiguette beach (Nîmes, 50km away, is linked to Grau du Roi Port Camargue by rail). The Espiguette beach is one of the most beautiful dune systems in the northern Mediterranean basin. It stands out for the quality of its bathing water. This protected site is made up of white barkhane dunes, characteristic of deserts. The dunes are the result of spectacular silting: they can reach heights of up to 12 m. The dunes protect the land behind them from the sea during storms. The Pointe de l'Espiguette forms the tip of an immense, isolated sandbank. Naturism is permitted in the marked-out area. Our house is an excellent base for exploring the Coteaux du Languedoc and the Roman remains of southern France, including the city of Nîmes and the Pont du Gard. The city and region offer visitors a wealth of opportunities for cycling and hiking: to the Camargue, the Pont du Gard, Arles, La Grande Motte, Les Saintes Marie de la mer, Montpellier and Nîmes. It's here that tourists can discover the history and monuments of the "French Rome", but also sample its southern terroir by enjoying the sunny, fruity wines of the Coteaux du Languedoc, to combine culture with the art of living in the South of France. Weather and sea conditions permitting, you can visit the marina at Port Camargue, Europe's largest marina, aboard a 46-foot sailboat (or zodiac) and discover the Bay of Aigues Mortes under sail.
