The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyInsta-WorthyRelaxingCentral location

Just 350 meters from the Rennes train station, come relax in the peaceful setting of a 1930s house with a shaded patio and garden. The bedroom features a 140-cm bed, a desk, a dresser, and a large console table with a high-quality Bluetooth stereo system and a small ethanol fireplace.

The kitchen is a private space where I usually work. It’s only accessible for breakfast (optional).

A second bedroom (see photos)—slightly smaller with lower ceilings but more private and offering views of both the patio and garden—features a slightly firmer bed.

The nearest shops (Carrefour City, bakery, pharmacy, laundromat, etc.) are a 5-minute walk to the south (near the Jacques Cartier metro station).

The nearest restaurants (very decent) are across from the train station, on the north side (an 8-minute walk).

Rennes’ central square is a 12- to 15-minute walk away.

Nearby Attractions

The new Rennes station, inaugurated in 2019, is quite original. At the same time natural - partly hidden under a green hill - and futuristic covered for the rest with a transparent plastic film ... inflatable! The city offers several districts of half-timbered houses, an Opera, the National Theater of Brittany, a Museum of Fine Arts, The Palace of Congresses in the Convent of the Jacobins, the Le Liberté performance hall and several cinemas for all audiences or Arts and Essays , the latter in the immediate vicinity of the house. But Rennes is best known for its festivals (Mythos, Les Tombées de La Nuit, Les Transmusicales, Transats en Ville, Rock'n Solex, Court Métrange ...) and its sports events (Rennes sur Roulette, Tout Rennes Court, Marathon Vert ...).

Very good communication with Hugo before my arrival. Very warm and friendly welcome from him. He offered to share dinner in his pleasant garden. Interesting conversations over a drink. I appreciated his availability during this stay. Thank you again Hugo. Until next time...

Pretty little building a stone's throw from the train station where you can explore all of Rennes with a large, very peaceful bedroom where you sleep very well, and all thanks to Hugo who is cool, nice and accommodating!

Great welcome from Hugo (and his cats) in a house with a very well-located garden, close to the train station (and the roller coaster). Free coffee in the morning and nice conversation.

As noted by others, a very short walk from the train station. House is full of character and eclectic decor. Very comfortable bed. Unlike many other guests, I did not receive breakfast (only an offer of coffee) but perhaps that was because I stayed only one night during the workweek.
