Welcome to my house upon the Hill! I am centrally located near the Capitol for you to take full advantage of the many amenities of the city. Most Smithsonian museums are within walking distance, and four major metro lines are within a few blocks. The gay Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods are a short taxi ride away.

The room available is on the second floor with its own private entrance operated with a Push-Code lock (so no fussing over keys). The room faces West towards the Supreme Court and Capitol buildings. The bathroom is shared with one other tenant. A full kitchen is also available.

Nearby transportation includes a ten-minute walk to the Red, Orange, Silver, and Blue Metro lines at the Eastern Market, Capitol South, and Union Station metro stops. A bikeshare station is 50 yards down the road. There is a convenience store and a pharmacy at the corner of my block. All linens are washed using detergents free of dyes and perfumes to avoid allergies.

This was a great place to stay! The location could not have been better and Ryan was a great host. I would definitely recommend this to others and plan to stay here again next time I'm in town

Ryan was a great host and a really nice guy! After booking the stay, he and I spoke by phone to make arrangements for my check-in. He worked around my timing and needs, and brought my luggage up to my room. Ryan was very accommodating: giving recommendations for nearby dining options and things to do nearby, and providing toiletries, bottled water, and other items in the event I needed them. The listing description was accurate. It is not new construction and there is a shared bathroom (should the other guest bedroom be occupied), but this was as advertised.

Ryan gave me a warm and friendly welcome to historic Capitol Hill in Washington DC. The house is charming just as the conversations we had. Very much recommended!
