Grand Victorian in Columbia Heights

We stayed the weekend for a music festival in the city so we weren't there too often but when we were it was extremely peaceful, serene and welcoming. Dan and his partner are excellent hosts. Highly recommended. Great location also!

I stayed here for a quick stop to break up my travels and it was perfect. The hosts were excellent communicators and even provided a permit for on-street parking, which made things so convenient. Walkable to nearby restaurants and also to some of the well-known gay bars in the area. The hosts shared history about the neighborhood, gave tips on things to do, places to eat, etc and we even had some engaging, in-depth intellectual conversations. I had a wonderful stay with Dan and Chingchai. They were excellent hosts—friendly, communicative, and incredibly helpful. They provided detailed local tips on transportation, food, bars, and cultural spots, which really enhanced my trip. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

What attracted us to this property was the clothing optional nature of the accommodation. We were able to be nude most of the time during our stay and our host. The place just felt like home and the host were generous with lots of laughter. It was easy to navigate to the various locations of World Pride and the gayborhood. It was also a short walk to Meridian Hill Park.

Staying here was a fantastic experience! The home has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the location is super convenient—easily accessible by bus or metro. Dan and Chingchai were amazing hosts who made our stay even more special. We had great conversations, learned about the history of the house, got excellent food recommendations, and even enjoyed a delicious homecooked dinner together. Their hospitality truly made this stay memorable. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to DC!

Welcoming, helpful hosts who made our stay exceedingly comfortable and provided useful travel advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the dining room table and getting to know both our hosts. Reliable and EASY Keyless entry (no keys to keep track of). 15-20 min walk to various restaurants, bars, grocery, other retail. 15-20 min walk to DC metro yellow line. House is well maintained and updated with comfortable consistent temperature across all 3 stories, ample electric outlets and lighting. Roomy bedroom with comfortable queen sized bed. Hosts allow use of the modern kitchen. Simply a wonderful host and house that we can't wait to visit again.
