Hello and welcome! We are looking to open our home again for another year in support of wayward travellers. We have two listings, one room comes with a single queen bed and one room comes with two twins.

Located in Central Illinois, we are equally distant from the major cities of Springfield, Peoria, and Bloomington. We'd be happy to show you around to a few of a favorite haunts. We are also a decent midway point between Chicago and St. Louis so feel free to pop in as you're passing through. Local rural culture offers plenty of options for enjoyable cuisine and a selection of locally crafted beers as long as your comfortable with a short drive.

This listing includes a room with two twin beds and full access to the rest of the home. We also love to invite you to dinner/breakfast for those looking to make a couple new friends. We also have plenty of outdoor seating for those looking to breathe in the fresh air and smell the flowers from the seasonal gardens. We're also producing our own produce this year: eggs, fruits, and vegetables.

This a pretty relaxed location with ample opportunity to connect with nature and other people. We live in a small community well removed from the troubles of the world. We stay pretty active, but you're always welcome to catch some sun, enjoy some tunes, and while a way some hours among friends.

Whether you're looking for an escape, or you're just passing through, break free from fast-paced living and make a connection in the Heartlands.

My husband and I have a fondness for nesting. I focus on writing and homesteading while he makes the money and does activism in the community. My husband currently works from home and I'm aiming to make home my work. A good chunk of the money we earn goes back into the grounds in the form of renovations and gardening projects. We're both a little kooky. My husband has a soft spot for animals and loves to cook. I'm trying to get a few pet projects off the ground and love to stay active. We enjoy our weed in the evening over dinner and tv. We welcome guests to join us for dinner and invite them to make use of anything on the property. We have three chickens, and several herb/vegetable gardens that guests are welcome to utilize at any time weather/season permitting. Our home is a safe place for any orientation/gender and religious/ethnic/racial background, and we hope to convey that during your stay. Armington itself is a small remote community equally distanced from Springfield, Peoria, and Bloomington. Local communities offer unique dining experiences and samplings of locally crafted beers. My husband can help with this better than I can, but there is a strong LGBTQ+ community in the area. Personally, we operate out of Bloomington Il which features the historical Bistro, our longest-standing LGBTQ+ bar. Mama has been running it for 30+ years. My husband worked there as a bartender for a number of years, while I occasionally danced as a go-go dancer in their cages. Now my husband organizes and runs the Bloomington Pride event alongside the Bistro. The event is the largest Pride event from Chicago to St. Louis numbering 10k+ in attendance. The Bistro has a limited dance floor however, so we also swing by Peoria for the gay dance club and gay kareoke. Whether you're looking for a night in, or a battle buddy to help explore the local community - we got you.

Host recommendations

1.) We ask that you don't raid the kitchen without asking as we meal plan. We keep some items on hand for guests who enjoy cooking and can direct you to these items. We ******** on meal a day, but often offer two if you catch us at meal time. 2.) We also enjoy homestead gardening and have egg-laying chickens on the property. We welcome guests to make use of our resources within reason. Gardening is a passion of ours and we are more than happy to point out the edible plants on the property and review the best means of harvesting them. 3.) We are okay with our guests having visitors, but please be respectful of time and place. Getting to know each other better on the echoing stairs at 3 in the morning on a Thursday is pushing a boundary and will probably disturb the dog. 4.) Nudity is a state of being not a promise of sex. We enjoy lounging in various states of dress and undress. We can put on pants or you can keep wearing them. It’s about being comfortable more than being horny. I will always answer the door clothed and we can play it by ear from there.

This was my second stay with Faust and Erich. They are very friendly guys who know how to be great hosts. We enjoyed much conversation before and during the homemade dinner that they provided. I always feel welcome there, and the setting is very quiet and peaceful. I would stay with them again any time.

Faust was great with my last minute booking and late arrival. Had a short and sweet stay. Location is off the beaten path, but a charming house and hosts. Faust made a nice breakfast and coffee to send me on my way.

Perfect location and Faust and Erich are the most down to earth, easy to talk to people I've ever met. The food was delicious, conversation was amazing, and their pets are soooo sweet. It was great to come back from visiting with friends and family to a warm, quiet, and welcoming home. I will definitely be booking every time I visit central Illinois

I was warmly greeted by Faust and Erich when I arrived. They served up a delicious dinner and provided me with great conversation and friendliness for the rest of the evening and the next morning. They are both super guys, and I thoroughly enjoyed my clothing optional stay with them. It was nice to experience a night in a comfortable older home in a small, very quiet rural community with two guys with such interesting stories to share! I recommend them highly and hope to stay with them again sometime.

Very enjoyable overnight stay with these guys. Faust and Eric were extremely normal down to earth guys and gracious hosts who made me feel very welcome. Not to mention both are quite handsome! I would definitely stay with them again.

Had a fantastic time with Faust and Erich! The food was delicious, the company was incredible, and the house and room were fantastic. I loved my short get away there. The hosts are awesome and make the space and visit even better. Highly recommend!
