The most beautiful gay friendly beaches in Mexico

Mexico attracts every year its share of gay tourists from Canada, the United States, but also from all over Europe. When autumn and winter arrive in the West, more and more travelers migrate to the beaches of the south to escape the winter gloom. Indeed, the numerous golden beaches, with waters that sweep all shades of blue, under the shelter of palm trees are one of the major assets of Mexico. From north to south and from east to west, there are hundreds of beaches to discover, including some gay beaches. Whether on the Pacific side or on the Caribbean coast, Mexico offers unique places to discover during your next stay in this destination!

Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta, located on the Pacific coast, in the state of Jalisco, is certainly the gayest destination in Mexico. While it is difficult to say that the gay beach of Playa de Los Muertos in Puerto Vallarta is the most beautiful of all the beaches in Mexico, if you go to Puerto Vallarta in the Zona Romantica neighborhood, it is for its very gay atmosphere!locals and visiting gay travelers, including many American regulars, gather at this gay beach for the most gay-friendly experience in Mexico. It's a great place to walk, meet people and have a drink. Make yourself comfortable, because this is just the beginning of a great day in Puerto Vallarta.

Playa del Carmen
Located on the other side of the country, on the Caribbean coast also called Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen offers some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mexico. The sand on the beaches here almost resembles white sugar, both soft and crystalline, a texture like nowhere else in Mexico. Between azure and emerald, the color of the water is equal to the beaches. Playal del Carmen is an ideal place for scuba diving, with one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, between the coast and the island of Cozumel. To the north, the beaches of Cancun and to the south, the beaches of Tulum.

Puerto Escondido
On the Pacific coast, in the state of Oaxaca, the beaches of Puerto Escondido are worth a stop. This sunny destination is a bucolic mix of beaches, small fishing boats and vendors selling handmade products. Playa Zicatella attracts a clientele of experienced surfers who love a challenge. Those looking for more tranquil but equally beautiful beaches will prefer the beaches of Bahía Principal and Bahía Puerto Angelito.

Todos Santos
Located along the Lower Califonia peninsula, Todos Santos offers beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast. The most famous is Los Cerritos beach, interesting for beginners in surfing because the waves are softer than in many places on the Pacific side and therefore ideal to start this activity. A little further south of the city, you will find beaches ideal for relaxing and swimming in calm waters. You might even be lucky enough to see some sea turtles!

Zipolite
The beach of Zipolite, in the state of Oaxaca, on the Pacific coast, stretches over 2 kilometers of golden sand: a paradise on earth that offers a gay space. Long reserved for a few happy few, this destination is now on the radar of many travelers but retains its hippy and quiet side. Since 2016, it is one of only two naturist beaches in Mexico! Beware, swimming here is really dangerous so stay safe.

Mexico is one of the best sun destinations for travelers looking for gay destinations, so don't hesitate and if you miss the sun next winter, go somewhere on the sand of a Mexican beach!
