Continental breakfast included * Enjoy a spacious, fully equipped private room in a quiet and central Oslo apartment. You’ll be sharing the space with me as your host, offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that many solo travelers appreciate.
The apartment is located next to OsloMet University, within easy walking distance of the National Theatre metro station, and with frequent trams (17, 18, 19) running every few minutes. Everything you need is just around the corner — supermarket, pharmacy, cafés, restaurants, and bars.
If you enjoy staying active, you’ll find SATS, EVO, and Fresh Fitness nearby, as well as the indoor running track under Bislett Stadium (free to use).
The apartment has a calm and comfortable atmosphere — ideal if you’re traveling solo and want a place to recharge after a day in the city. I enjoy hosting and am happy to share tips, but also fully respect your space and privacy. As a gay host, I naturally welcome LGBTQ+ travelers, and many guests appreciate the easy, open, and relaxed atmosphere here.
The room is quiet at night, which makes it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The apartment itself has a personal, lived-in feel, with touches of vintage and Scandinavian simplicity.
Personally, I love taking an afternoon walk up to St. Hanshaugen park — especially around sunset. It’s a favorite spot for locals who bring food and drinks, sit with a book, or simply enjoy the view over the city.
Breakfast is included and comprises coffee/ tea bread (occasionally home made), butter, cheese and jam. If you prefer the bakery, -Åpent Bakeri in Frydenlundgata is a great place for breakfast — a cozy atmosphere, excellent coffee, and fresh bread with butter and strawberry jam. It’s also a nice spot to sit with your laptop for a while.
For one of the best views in Oslo, I often take guests to the Summit Bar at the top of the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel — perfect for a drink at the start of your stay.
If you have a bit more time, I highly recommend a walk down to the harbor and a short ferry ride to the islands. Hovedøya is a personal favorite, with beautiful nature, monastery ruins, and a small café where you can enjoy coffee and waffles by the sea.

This is a great place to stay in Oslo. It has a great location, just a 12 minute walk from the centre of things, and yet it is very quiet. Carl is a great host, very friendly, and a great communicator. I highly recommend his apartment.
Carl is an excellent host and I was really well informed about things before and under the stay. The apartment is very cosy and as it says: quiet and central. Karl Johan is a 20 minute walk away. The breakfast was delicious. Carl is a an open and social guy, nice to chat and spend time with. I can recommend him and his apartment for everyone.
Carl is a kind host. A thoughtful and warm welcome. We crossed paths briefly but long enough to feel confident. A very clean, functional and comfortable apartment, well located near the center. Close to buses, metro, marina (on foot). We will be happy to return!
It's been a pleasure staying with Carl for a few days. He is very gentle, kind, and I enjoyed our conversations over breakfast. The apartment is cozy, tidy and well located.
Carl has been a great host. He is a very welcoming man and he gave me the right advice for transportation and visiting the city.
I had a very pleasant and smooth experience overall. He was welcoming, respectful, and professional from the first message to the end of the stay. Communication was clear and easy, and everything matched the description. The location was convenient and the space was clean, comfortable, and well prepared. He pays attention to hygiene and creates a relaxed atmosphere. I felt at ease the entire time. I would definitely recommend and would book again.
I had a wonderful experience staying at Carl's place. As a first-time guest in a shared home, I was genuinely impressed by Carl's warm Nordic hospitality. The house was clean and comfortable, and the bed was cozy. The photos accurately reflected the space, and Carl made me feel right at home, we shared meals and we had some engaging conversation. His thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining were very helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. I would definitely recommend Carl as a host and look forward to staying again in the future.
Thanks so much, Marcelo! Hosting you was a joy — great chats, great vibes. Come back anytime!
