Enjoy a spacious, fully equipped private room in a quiet and central Oslo apartment. You’ll be sharing the space with me as your host, offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that many solo travelers appreciate.
The apartment is located next to OsloMet University, within easy walking distance of the National Theatre metro station, and with frequent trams (17, 18, 19) running every few minutes. Everything you need is just around the corner — supermarket, pharmacy, cafés, restaurants, and bars.
If you enjoy staying active, you’ll find SATS, EVO, and Fresh Fitness nearby, as well as the indoor running track under Bislett Stadium (free to use).
The apartment has a calm and comfortable atmosphere — ideal if you’re traveling solo and want a place to recharge after a day in the city. I enjoy hosting and am happy to share tips, but also fully respect your space and privacy. As a gay host, I naturally welcome LGBTQ+ travelers, and many guests appreciate the easy, open, and relaxed atmosphere here.
The room is quiet at night, which makes it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The apartment itself has a personal, lived-in feel, with touches of vintage and Scandinavian simplicity.
Personally, I love taking an afternoon walk up to St. Hanshaugen park — especially around sunset. It’s a favorite spot for locals who bring food and drinks, sit with a book, or simply enjoy the view over the city.
Breakfast is included and comprises coffee/ tea bread (occasionally home made), butter, cheese and jam. If you prefer the bakery, -Åpent Bakeri in Frydenlundgata is a great place for breakfast — a cozy atmosphere, excellent coffee, and fresh bread with butter and strawberry jam. It’s also a nice spot to sit with your laptop for a while.
For one of the best views in Oslo, I often take guests to the Summit Bar at the top of the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel — perfect for a drink at the start of your stay.
If you have a bit more time, I highly recommend a walk down to the harbor and a short ferry ride to the islands. Hovedøya is a personal favorite, with beautiful nature, monastery ruins, and a small café where you can enjoy coffee and waffles by the sea.
