At Tetsua and Stewart's everything is absolutely perfect. A very warm welcome and support. The Japanese room is magnificent and very comfortable. Each breakfast is different and delicately prepared. So it's delicious but also a pleasure for the eyes. And the advice and recommendations are relevant and very useful. We have only one regret and that is having already left.
Stewart and Tetsu are both amazing and delightful host. They are both hospitable and make you feel at home. It was a fantastic getaway from the city. Communication and instructions were very clear and they were very responsive. It helps alleviate my anxiety going to the mountains without any knowledge in Japanese. The place is very clean and organised. Though it is far from food, Stewart cooks fantastic meals. Be sure to have them for dinner. Seeya both again! Keep in contact!
First time using misterbnb turned out to be a wonderful experience. Tetsu and Steward are very kind and patient. Tetsu is very considerate and he gave me a lot of useful information and advice since it’s my first time traveling in Japan. We went to the onsen and met Steward and their other guests first. We had buffet dinner in the onsen restaurant and went to their lovely house after. Their place is tidy and clean, my room was upstairs with very comfortable bedding, which was really nice after a tiring day of traveling. We five people had a very friendly fun chat and gin tonic in the living room, with a lovely Christmas tree. The next morning we enjoyed their delicious homemade breakfast, Steward kept us laughing with his humor while Tetsu was busy in the kitchen. Then Steward showed us their lovely garden and neighborhood, he drove us to the mountain where people hike. The weather was very nice and the autumn view was just beautiful. Everything was just lovely and well arranged, we even joked that Tetsu might have OCD. Everyone is kind and fun. I chose their place not just because I need a place to stay, I was hoping to know more about local people’s life and meet new friends, and it is an unique and memorable experience indeed. If I have chance to visit Tokyo again I will definitely stay at their place, they’re the best.
Tetsu and his partner Stewart were truly friendly, kind, and wonderful hosts from the moment we first made contact until the end of our trip. They always responded to emails quickly and thoughtfully, and were genuinely helpful in planning our itinerary. On the night of our arrival, which was a weekday evening, they kindly picked us up from the station by car, which was a huge help. Their home was immaculate, with simple and elegant interior design throughout. Although it's where they actually live, it felt completely like a different world—so extraordinary. Their handmade garden was also full of charm. They prepared breakfast for us, and it was absolutely delicious. Eating it on the outdoor deck while breathing in the fresh mountain air made me feel pure happiness. But most importantly, their personalities were wonderful. This stay wasn't just a one-time experience—I found myself wanting to see them again and to maintain our connection going forward. Thank you so much for the most amazing hospitality.
We have been very well treated by Testu and Stewart. Everything started with a smooth reservation system communication, thanks Mister BnB. The detail information on site seeing spots was very helpful to organize our journey in Kawagoe. The onsen at the end of the day was reposant with a healthy buffet. Testu and Stewart have a lovely and warm decorated house in the middle of the mountains and forest.
Tetsu and Stewart are fantastic hosts and they know their region very well. They brought us to a local festival, to a local art gallery/ cafe, to a shrine and to the onsen. Their home is lovely and cosy and the breakfast was delicious. We had a great time with them and they put every effort to make our stay enjoyable.
Tetsu and Stewart are very gracious hosts, their house was spotless clean, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and to boot, they made an awesome breakfast. Their house is adjacent to a creek/stream that lulled us to sleep at night which only added to the relaxation and peaceful nature of its setting. Tetsu had also emailed us a detailed 12 item list of things to do in the surrounding area, which was very helpful. I would recommend the udon shop and sandal temple hike those were really incredible. They also took us to a restaurant and onsen which was a perfect way to end a day of tromping about. Their house is only five minutes walk to the trailhead so they are perfectly situated for hikers.
