Hosted by a gay married couple - arts lovers, foodies & easy-going homebodies and you will be based right in the heart of the gay district of Berlin, literally within a 5 minute walk 🚶♂ radius away!
Looking for a clean, cosy base in the centre of Berlin’s vibrant LGBTQ+ scene? Our lovingly curated home in Schöneberg might be just what you're after.
We’re a gay couple who adore the theatre, classical music, and great food with friends - though we’re just as happy relaxing at home with Netflix and a quiet evening in. Our apartment reflects that balance: stylish, uncluttered, and functional, but always homely.
Your own spacious private room
We have a spacious guest room available - complete with a double bed and a latex foam mattress (very comfy for a good night sleep!), chest of drawers, wardrobe, standing and wall mirror, reading chair and a dedicated workspace for your laptop and work. The high classic stucco detailing ceilings and large south-facing window keep it bright and airy throughout the day.
Our shared spaces
You’re most welcome to use the modern kitchen for basics - tea, coffee, water, fridge, and we offer two bathrooms: one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, ideal for winding down after a day in the city. Given the two bathrooms, you will have your own private bathroom! Wi-Fi available throughout the flat.
The apartment and building
We're on the 3rd floor of a beautiful Wilhelminian-era Altbau (circa 1910) with classic stucco details and original parquet floors. It’s located in a peaceful development just off Viktoria-Luise-Platz, one of Berlin’s prettiest squares.
Note: As is typical of Berlin’s Altbau (old building) charm, there’s no lift - so you’ll need to manage a few flights of stairs up to the 3rd floor. A good excuse to get your daily exercise in! 😂
Coffee, tea, water, beddings, towels, bathrobe, shower amenities will be provided along with washer/dryer availability.
How easy and convenient to get around?
The flat is serviced by FIVE U-Bahn (underground stations) at Viktoria Luise Platz (1min walk), Wittenbergplatz (10 mins walk), Nollendorfplatz (10 mins walk), Spichernstrase (10 mins walk) and Bundesplatz (10 mins walk); so you’ll practically be able to travel anywhere on multiple train lines and all within walking distance from the flat.
Additionally, there’s lots of bus routes in the vicinity but with everything else within walking distance, from the gay pubs to the shops, cafes, restaurants ppl and the ‘Central Park - Tiergarten’, we practically just walk everywhere!
Finally, the neighbourhood...
As highlighted, you’re at the heart of gay Berlin, so expect to find gay cafes, pubs, wine and cocktail bar, shops, restaurants and gay friendly people and places around the neighbourhood, where you could just walk to and have a glass of wine or coffee and alfresco brunch!
You could even sunbathe and have a picnic on the Viktoria Luise Platz area or at Tiergarden for a nice day of people watching!
Lots of gay shops around, from leather to boutique galleries to cinema/entertainment to clothes and everything else!
There’s a local fresh produce market on Saturday and a typical Berlin ‘flea’ market on Sunday which can also be a relaxing day out to explore the area.
All types of food cuisine available (we will happily provide you our recommendations!)
All in, while it sounds ‘busy’ with gay life activities, the flat is in a super quiet street (not a main road and no through road, hence no cars driving through!) and lastly the neighbourhood is so lovely, safe and walkable!
