Nearby Attractions

Edinburgh institution CC Blooms is a must for a night out. Fairly sedate during the day but gets very lively in the evening with DJ’s, drag shows and the usual camparama

Planet is much the same but smaller.

The Street is the slicker kid on the block with much the same atmosphere as Planet and CC Blooms

The Regent is the traditional pub with a local crowd drinking there. It’s located just a stones throw from Calton Hill which is worth taking a walk around and take in the sights. Best time to go is after dark or when the bars are closing.

Junaidy and his partner, Andy, were terrific hosts. My partner and I stayed with them for two nights. We enjoyed lots of friendly, engaging conversation with Junaidy and Andy. Junaidy baked delicious banana nut bread, served with hot tea and coffee. The place itself is comfortable, exceptionally well-decorated, and modern. We enjoyed walking to nearby dinner spots along the seaside and having a quiet place to rest after a day in Edinburgh. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great host. Very kind. Huge room with a very confortable large bed. Private bathroom with shower. Opposite to the bus stop for the city centre (20 min max).

Posting again, as I added to my stay: Junaidy and Andy were the perfect hosts for my first time in Edinburgh. Their home felt like home away from home. I had total privacy, yet they were available for questions and assistance. They went above and beyond, and I would absolutely stay with them again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea View Room. Andy and Junaidy were great hosts. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The transportation to the old town was super convenient with bus 19 stops very near the house.

You wouldn't want to leave! Junaidy and Andy made our long stay feel right at home. Junaidy also helped me house hunting. Bus to the center is available right outside and takes ~20 minutes to center. We could get to the city center everyday by bus. Portobello beach is just 10 minutes on foot. Views from the attic room (Super spacious for two) are great. You can see the ocean and Arthur's seat both from the room. Fully equipped and beautiful kitchen which you can use. Highly Recommend stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Junaidy's place. The room was large, clean, and in great condition. Junaidy was an amazing host - friendly, communicative, and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here and would gladly return.
