A Comfortable, Peaceful and Unique welcome in Leith

I had a wonderful 2 nights stay in Edinburgh with Ken, who is such a friendly, warm and welcoming host. He was incredibly generous with his time and his deep knowledge of the city past and present, with oodles of recommendations for things to see and do. I felt like I was visiting a good friend rather than a stranger. Can't recommend staying with him strongly enough! Thanks Ken.

Staying with Ken was a truly wonderful experience. His home is beautifully kept, refined, and ideally located for exploring Edinburgh. An artist with a genuine appreciation for his city, Ken is a wealth of local knowledge, always generous with thoughtful and reliable recommendations. What makes the experience particularly special, however, is Ken himself. Genuinely kind, caring, and wonderfully personable, he has a natural gift for hospitality. He strikes that rare balance between being attentive and engaging while respecting his guests' independence and personal space. You feel entirely at ease, welcomed rather than simply accommodated. Ken brings a personal touch to hosting that goes well beyond the accommodation itself. I left with wonderful memories of Edinburgh and, above all, the pleasure of having met a truly remarkable person. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

My boyfriend and I had an absolute wonderful time staying at Ken's place in Leith. His apartment is absolutely beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Ken is a fantastic host—so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. He gave us some excellent recommendations on what to do and see during our time in Edinburgh, which made our trip even more special. Leith itself is a beautiful and vibrant part of town with a great vibe. Plus, getting into the city centre is incredibly quick and easy by public transport. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend staying with Ken if you are visiting Edinburgh!

I had an incredible stay here with Ken. Centrally located, easily accessible with tram and buses to all the sightseeing places and the apartment itself is very comfortable. Ken was very nice and kind. As well as very helpful on tips around the city. It made my stay very enjoyable and have great memories :)

Ken is a fantastic host, very welcoming and attentive, sharing his extensive local knowlege to help you have the best visit to Edinbugh. The flat is a short walk away from Foot of the Walk tram stop, giving direct link to the city centre and airport. Spend some time to get to know Leith and the many independant shops, cafes and restaurants on Leith Walk. Thank you so much Ken.

Ken has been a very generous and welcoming host. With his spontaneous communication and selfless willingness, he made sure that I have a comfortable stay. The location was very handy for me and commute to the main city couldn't be any easier. The room had a very aesthetic and cozy vibe. In a nutshell, had a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend!

An exceptional stay in Edinburgh, thanks to a phenomenal host. Ken's hospitality is unmatched. He was incredibly flexible with my check-in time to accommodate my flight, and when the airport tram broke down, he went completely above and beyond—guiding me onto a bus over the phone and personally picking me up at the stop.The accommodation is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The room is stylish, uniquely decorated, and features the great convenience of an attached shower. Location-wise, it offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, residential neighborhood with great local dining options, but just a short 15-20 minute tram or bus ride into the city center. A perfect five-star experience!

I had an amazing stay at Ken’s. He's so genuinely caring and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We had lots of contact before my visit including info on transport options to and from the airport as the trams to Leith were temporarily off while I was there. Leith is a great part of central Edinburgh. Just a short walk from Ken's you have a wealth of bars, cafes and several Michelin restaurants, as well as Leith's own attractions including Leith Distillery and the Royal Yacht Britannia. The centre of Edinburgh is easily accessible by bus and tram, or a pleasant easy stroll up vibrant and cosmopolitan Leith Walk. The flat is amazing with a curated collection of paintings and objets d’art. A peaceful and creative space. The bedroom is very spacious and comfortable with topped-up supply of bottled water, biscuits and sweets. Ken has a great knowledge of Edinburgh - take his recommendations on places to visit and cool and very gay-friendly bars and restaurants! We also had the best time going to shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, with good food and bars to follow! I can’t recommend a stay with Ken highly enough!"

Ken is the perfect host!! He is an enthusiastic guide who shared some of his favorite local spots and hidden gems of Edinburgh with us. He was more than happy to help us get acquainted with the city. His flat is immaculate, wonderfully accommodating, and full of eclectic decor that reflects both his chic style and charming personality. The stay also was an incredible value to find during the Fringe festival and busy summer season. I'd book again in a heartbeat!
