There were strikes and protests while I was there, and they sweetly checked on me. The neighborhood is hip, central and well-connected to transit. The room is basic (think staying with family), but you get your own bath and to feel a little hint of connection to the place (unlike some soulless hotel or ********). Just beware, you might develop a little crush on your hosts. They're dreamy."

John·5·Jan. 2025· "Located just a few blocks down from Termini station, Generator is in the middle of everything in Rome (provided you don't mind walking). The neighborhood is definitely gentrifying, but considering the room price, it is not that big a deal.
There are plenty of places to get Italian food, Indian food, doner kebabs, and even Chinese within a block or two. There's a Metro stop two blocks away, and Termini station for longer trips.
I'll be staying here again the next time I come to Rome!"

John·5·Jul. 2026· "First time using this site but delighted with our room. Exceptionally clean and neat bathroom adjoining room. Satisfying breakfast, simple but good. We had the room on same level as our hosts so super quiet with good air-conditioning. Allessio is happy to chat and provide city info and vincenzo is the on site masseur and excellent at a bargain of €50 for 60 minutes. All in all a super place to stay, central for sight seeing and 5 mins to Exit for drinks."
