Mélo'Men : rainbow of men's voices

On June 5 and 6, the Parisian choir Mélo'Men will present the closing show of its 20th season, an original creation on the theme of tolerance. This work for male choir and orchestra was commissioned from the young composer Pierre-Henri Dutron. This classical concert with orchestra (Rainbow Symphony Orchestra, dir. John Dawkins) will take place at the Temple de l'Oratoire du Louvre in Paris.

The program includes Brahms' Rhapsody for Male Choir and Viola (soloist Kate Sors), Schubert's Gesang der Geister über den Wassern, and César Franck's Chœur des chameliers. Other pieces for orchestra and a capella will complete this program.

Founded in 1994, Melo'Men brings together some fifty amateur singers, gay or gay-friendly. Its vocation is to promote an eclectic repertoire of songs for men's voices, with a high artistic standard. Season after season, the choir has gained public recognition, as evidenced by the presence of Mélo'Men on numerous French (Bercy, Le Lido) and international stages (New-York Carnegie Hall, London Queen Elizabeth Hall, Zürich Tonhalle). The choir also participates in various solidarity events.
