Prime location in Los Feliz Village

Great location in the Los Feliz neighborhood. Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and coffee in the neighborhood. Easy Uber to downtown, West Hollywood area. Shinya let me park my rental car in the driveway so no worry about street parking. I would have liked to enjoy the pool but it was not the season yet. Shinya was good at communication, provided me with a map of local restaurants, and answered all my questions. The room is in the back of the house with your own bathroom so very private.

Shinya and Carl were an absolute pleasure to stay with! They were so kind and welcoming, I felt very much at ease in their place and company. The bedroom is nice and clean, you have your own bathroom/shower/kitchenette to use. And a direct exit to the nice pool which I unfortunately didn't get to use. The area is nice and you have plenty of restaurants/cafes and bars within walking distance. They're lovely artists with wonderful stories to tell you. 100% recommended!

I had a great stay with Shinya. What I value in my stay was getting to know Shinya. He is an exceptionally kind person and I enjoyed chatting with him. His kindness and thoughtfulness is reflected in the room .. it was ready to go, clean and prepped with anything and everything one could need .. including water bottles, and a bowl of fruit and snacks. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

My stay at PRIME LOCATION IN LOS FELIZ was wonderful. Shinya's hospitality made me feel welcome. The bed was comfortable; the room was spacious; the ensuite bathroom a delight. Having lived in LA, I appreciated the location of Shinya's home; it is on a quiet, dead-end street, centrally located and easily accessible. I look forward to staying there again when I travel back to LA.

Shinya and Carl are both artists, and I was very impressed by their work, including the two paintings in my room. The room was as described, with its own bathroom, a large, deep closet, and a walk-in shower. A dresser in the room had two drawers available for my use. Shinya left a bowl of fruit and snacks and a bottle of water in the room for me. There was also a bathrobe provided for my use. The bed was large and comfortable. The neighborhood is "old Hollywood" with remnants from the silent film era. I had a very nice chat with Shinya when I first arrived and learned about the history of their house. Their cat is shy, quiet, and did not bother me at all. There is secondhand cigarette smoke in the house, which I could smell in my room. It was not intense (my clothes did not smell like smoke), but it was inescapable. If you are sensitive to smoke, you should be aware of this.

Such a nice & easy stay with Shinya & Carl!!

I came here on a 4 day trip to visit LA. Nice house, well located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Great hosts, very welcoming and helpful (thank you Shinya for everything). I spent my whole stay without a car. The subway is 15 minutes from the house, and there are several bus lines too. The Griffith Park is close.

I had a very pleasant stay with Shinya and Carl. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, the room was very quiet, comfortable and private, and had everything one might need. Hillhurst Street was an easy walk away where there were numerous restaurants to choose from.

Shinya and Carl are dream hosts in the best neighborhood of LA (a neighborhood where a car is not absolutely necessary). Their home is extremely charming and my room included a private bath that walks out to the pool (how can you beat that?). Shinya and Carl are warm, creative, and overall wonderful people. One night, Shinya prepared dinner and it was the best meal I had in LA. I cannot wait to visit again.

Shinya and Carl were awesome hosts! Beautiful house and neighborhood close to food, transit and LGBT night life. LA is an amazing city and I cannot wait to be here full time. Most adorable of all was Peace the Kitty checking me each night. Shinya and Carl are both talented painters. When I move here in a few weeks I'll have them paint a picture of my boys (miniature dachshunds).
