Private Designer Suite in a Mansion

We love the New York room, it felt private and cozy. The Halloween/Christmas decorations were amazing. The brief time we hang out with the hosts was great, they make us feel at home. The place is close to all the places we were visiting during our stay. They also gave us many recommendations for places to see and where to eat. We definitely are coming back.

Pros: The house is in a great location, was able to get everywhere within 30 min. Check-in is easy. Cons: The description and images of the room and mansion are not accurate. The listing states "private" bathroom, but there is 1 full bath on the bottom floor with 2 guest rooms sharing it (Owners stated both rooms are not usually booked at same time, but they were for my entire stay).The restroom pictured is an upstairs restroom and not the one designated for this room. There are pictures of a pool/hot tub which was not available (owners stated this had a leak). The pictures also show a clean, open home but the house is completely filled with Halloween and Christmas decorations. I woke up at 4AM on the second night to water leaking from the ceiling. (The owners stated this was from overflow from the bathtub in the room above me. They did offer an extra night for free, but I did not wish to stay).

Our stay in the New York suite couldn't have been better. Gino and Scott above and beyond to make sure our room was clean, comfortable, well appointed and attractive. Frank Sinatra was singing "New York New York" when we checked in and there was a bag of delicious chocolates on our bed. Checking in was a ******** and communication with Gino and Scott was always prompt and helpful. They provided tons of touristic information, all carefully thought out and available to us via email (so it was actually useful). They have thought through so many details that combine to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. The mansion is fantastically decorated and full of visual surprises. There was always something new to see in the several common rooms. We highly recommend this property and definitely hope to stay here again on our next trip to LA.

This is a magical place! Not only is it a one of a kind art piece that combines Christmas decorations with Horror memorabilia which is so cool! The hosts are sweethearts and just all-around kind wonderful people. The other guests were very friendly, and it felt like home. This was such a special experience for me and my friend. I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to my return. So awesome!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jino and Scott's extraordinary house, and I cannot express enough how fantastic my experience was. From the moment we booked our stay, Jino and Scott went above and beyond to ensure we had all the information and recommendations we needed for an incredible time in Los Angeles. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel at ease even before our arrival. Plus, they are such warm and gracious hosts, always going the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. Now, let's talk about the house itself. If you're a fan of horror movies, this place is an absolute gem and a must-visit destination. The Haunted Mansion is meticulously decorated with an abundance of details from beloved horror films such as Scream, Halloween, Krampus, Nightmare on Elm Street, Trick or Treat, and many others. Everywhere you turn, there's something fascinating to discover. And don't worry, even the Christmas decorations are not overlooked, adding a unique twist to the ambiance. The private room we stayed in had a New York theme and was equipped with a fridge and microwave, which was a convenient addition. Of course, we were also welcome to use the kitchen, dining room, and the cozy garden. The coffee machine and creamer were a delightful touch. Adjacent to the room, there was a bathroom with a toilet and shower. However, the shower needed to be shared with another room on the second day of our stay. If you're a horror movie enthusiast, appreciate intricate decorations, desire a superb location in Sherman Oaks, and are seeking exceptional hosts, I highly recommend booking one of the rooms at Jino and Scott's Haunted Mansion. You'll have an unforgettable time, just as we did. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Jino and Scott for providing such an incredible experience and their exceptional hospitality.

Jino and Scott's Halloween/Christmas-themed house was a bundle of joy. My partner, who himself is not a horror fan, found it endearing as well. They were also thoughtful to ensure the bedrooms and bathrooms were not horror-themed. We were upgraded to the "Presidential Room," which was very clean and tastefully designed. Jino and Scott are a warm and friendly couple, and I'm glad we got to chat with them briefly. The place is a short drive from downtown LA and Hollywood. Highly recommended!
