Going out:
We recommend the use of Vélib rental bicycles (******** with the Pigalle station less than 100 meters away.
For your shopping, apart from the Franprix supermarket (just across the street), we recommend the excellent (and expensive) Causses grocery store (55 rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette), the Bio Mure delicatessen (2 rue de Clichy), and for cheese the Frescolet creamery (wonderful and expensive) at 42 rue Jean-Baptiste Pigalle. The boulangerie Saint-Lazare at 71 rue Saint-Lazare is decent, but the best (and most expensive) bakeries are to be found in the gourmet streets a little further along: rue des Martyrs and rue Lepic.
