Welcome to my apartment in Nice, voie romaine, in Cimiez, a quiet, historic neighborhood offering easy access to the city's most beautiful sites. This picturesque neighborhood is brimming with cultural treasures.

The Monastère de Cimiez is a magnificent site, with its gardens and olive grove, and the Arènes de Cimiez, including the Roman amphitheater.

Don't miss the Villa Arson, a contemporary art center, or the newly renovated Musée Matisse, where you can discover the works of this famous artist who lived in Nice.

On your way back down to the city center, take a stroll along the Promenade du Paillon or Coulée verte. You'll arrive at Place Massena, one of the city's jewels. Then explore Vieux-Nice (Old Nice), with its colorful alleyways and typical markets, including the Cours Saléya flower market, not far from the Promenade des Anglais, where you can enjoy the view of the Mediterranean Sea and its azure waters.

For meals, I recommend the Italian restaurants Le Di Piu, La Favola or La Voglia, located on Cours Saleya. Or the Greek restaurant Kalos on rue Bonaparte, or Le Café de Turin, a landmark establishment for fresh seafood and specialties from Nice. Take a seat on the terrace on rue Bonaparte and enjoy the gay-friendly Dolce Vita of Nice. Fancy a cocktail? Le Movida has a sea view! For a coffee break, Le Campo Caffé on Place Garibaldi is an excellent choice.

If you're looking for a livelier shopping experience, head to the Centre Commercial Nicetoile.

Nice is also a welcoming city for the LGBTQ+ community, with several gay-friendly bars and clubs to discover. Le Swing, a cosy and popular bar, is a must for a fun evening out. If you're looking to dance, don't miss Le Six, a trendy bar with dance floor, open to all and ideal for partying in an inclusive and festive atmosphere. Or Le Glam, a lively bar with DJ and Drag Queen nights.
